Tamil actor Vishnu Vishal grabbed the biggest film of his career with his recent release Ratsasan which was a thriller. Directed by Ram Kumar, the film had Vishnu playing a cop who gets tangled in a situation with numerous twists to it. The film is now being remade in Telugu with Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas in the lead role. The project was officially launched today in Hyderabad and the event was attended by the complete cast and crew of the film. The remake is yet to be titled and will be directed by Ramesh Varma Penmetsa. The music will be composed by Ghibran who rendered the tracks for the original in Tamil as well. "We are glad to be producing the remake of this sensational Tamil hit. Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas will be seen in the lead role and he will opt for a new look in the film. The shooting of the film will begin right from today. We will soon reveal more details about the film," said producer Havish Koneru in an official statement. Check out photos here:
Earlier, it was being speculated that the remake of Ratsasan in Telugu will feature actor Nithiin in the lead role. However, nothing much was heard about it and the project has now gone to Sreenivas. Ratsasan was a runaway hit in 2018 and went on to clock great numbers at the box office. The makers of the remake will look to achieve a similar success in Telugu as well.
