It was recently confirmed that Vijay Sethupathi will make his debut in Bollywood alongside Aamir Khan and will be seen playing a crucial role. However, there was no confirmation on which film it would be since Aamir has a bunch of films under his belt. It is revealed now! Vijay Sethupathi will be seen in Aamir Khan's Lal Singh Chaddha which is the official remake of yesteryear Hollywood film Forest Gump. While Aamir would be seen playing the central role, Sethupathi will be seen playing his friend's role in the plot. In the original, the main lead was played by Tom Hanks which will be reprised by Aamir in Lal Singh Chaddha. Vijay Sethupathi will be seen reprising Bubba Blue which was played by Mykalti Williamson in Forest Gump.
Reportedly, the makers of the film are trying to tweak the narrative of the film and make Vijay Sethupathi's character with Tamil nativity so that it suits the characterisation. Reportedly, Aamir and Vijay will have numerous scenes and movie buffs can expect to be baffled with their chemistry.
Vijay Sethupathi will also make his debut in Telugu soon with Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy which stars Chiranjeevi in titular role. Sye Raa is a period based action-drama which depicts the life of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, India's first freedom fighter who fought the British. Sethupathi will be seen playing Raja Paandi in the film who leads the army of the protagonist. The teaser of the film was released yesterday which gave a glimpse into the world of Sye Raa. Watch it here if you haven't already:
Besides these two films, Vijay Sethupathi will also be seen in quite a few Tamil films like Laabam, Tamizh Sanga and others. The shootings of these films have begun already and are in various stages of production.
