The Kannada Film Industry has organised a silent march on October 6 and will hand over a memorandum to the Governor regarding the Cauvery crisis
All actors and technicians of the film industry, under the leadership of Ambarish, will participate in the march from the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce to Raj Bhavan.Meanwhile, veteran actor-politician Ambarish has come out in full support of the farmers of the Cauvery basin, who are facing a drought, and has urged the Government not to release the Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu. Recently, Ambarish, along with actor Srinagara Kitty, campaigned to protest against the Karnataka Government’s decision to release water to TN. Actor Shivarajkumar has also pledged his support to the cause of the farmers and has said he will follow whatever course of action the Karnataka film industry wants to take on this matter.
