As the unlock phase has begun, we have seen many stars announcing their new projects and now the latest report suggests that two south beauties and superstars Samantha Akkineni and Rashmika Mandanna are set to collaborate for the first time for a female centric entertainer, which will be directed a debutante. Apparently, the duo will play siblings and the official announcement of this venture is expected to happen soon. Earlier, during the interaction, a fan asked the Eega actress to reveal her favourite thing about Rashmika Mandanna as he tweeted, "@Samanthaprabhu2 best thing about @iamRashmika," to which Samantha replied, "I think she’s incredibly hard working .. those dance steps."

On the professional front, Samantha Akkineni is set to make her web-series debut with The Family Man 2. Interestingly, the first season of The Family Man also featured a south actress Priyamani in a lead role. Samantha Akkineni has recently signed Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kadhal which also has Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara in the lead roles. The film will be directed by Nayanthara's boyfriend Vignesh Shivn.
On the other hand, Rashmika Mandanna will start the shooting of Allu Arjun's Pushpa after the lockdown gets over. The actor and director Sukumar's collaboration in the past has been very successful, with films like Arya and Arya 2, which in turn helped Arjun gain popularity in the industry. The makers recently revealed that they will spend Rs 6 crore for a six-minute action sequence, which will be mounted on a lavish scale. The film was officially launched last October in Hyderabad. It is set in the backdrop of red sanders smuggling in the Seshachalam forests. DSP (Devi Sri Prasad) will compose the music of the film.
