After Ranarangam, Sharwanand will now be seen in Telugu-Tamil bilingual project which will be bankrolled by Dream Warrior Pictures. This yet untitled stars Ritu Varma as the leading lady and will be her first Telugu film after a brief gap. To be directed by debutante Shree Karthick, the film was officially launched officially today in Hyderabad which was attended by complete cast and crew. The dialogues of the Telugu version of the film will be penned by director Tharun Bhascker while the Tamil version will be by Karthick himself. Vennela Kishore and Priyadarshi will be seen essaying crucial roles in the film which is touted to be a romantic comedy. Sharwanand was last seen in Ranarangam which was directed by Sudheer Varma. The film was a gangster drama and had Sharwanand playing a stylish-looking gangster. The film received decent response from critics and audience and turned out to be an average affair at the box office. Kalyani Priyadarshan was seen playing the leading lady while Kajal Aggarwal played a brief role in Ranarangam.
Ritu Varma, on the other hand, hasn't been seen in Telugu cinema for a while. Ritu is awaiting the release of few Tamil films which includes Gautham Menon directorial Dhruva Natchathiram. The film stars Vikram in the lead role and would have been her Tamil debut had it released on time. The release of Dhruva Natchathiram has been delayed for various reasons and the makers are yet to lock a release date. Ritu would also be pairing up with Dulquer Salmaan in Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal which is touted to be a rom-com.
