Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya got engaged on August 8, 2024. For the past two years, there were reports of the couple dating. But they never officially confirmed anything until they got engaged. Sobhita and Chay got engaged in Hyderabad at the latter's house in an early morning ceremony. Nagarjuna Akkeneni took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to share the first engagement photos of the couple.
Two months after her engagement, Sobhita Dhulipala has now spoken up about her big day. In an interview with Galatta, the Made in Heaven actress was asked about her simple engagement. According to the actress, it wasn't simple, as she didn't go into the moment with a lot of expectations or dreams. She said the ceremony was quite relaxed, simple, intimate, warm, and everything that she thought it would be. "When beautiful things happen, I don't feel the need for embellishments. That moment itself fills me. So I didn't feel like it was simple or it was not; it was what it was meant to be, and it was perfect," said the actress.
Further in this entertainment news, Naga Chaitanya's fiancee said that she always imagined being married and having children. Motherhood is something she wants to experience. "I was very clear about it and getting married. I always saw myself in that setting. I always wanted Telugu-ness to be a part of moments like this. I am very attached to my roots, to tradition, and to my parents. That's something I fantasised about," said Sobhita Dhulipala.

Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya are yet to reveal their wedding date. However, earlier reports stated that they might get married in Rajasthan next year. However, there is no confirmation regarding the same. For Chay, it will be his second wedding. The actor was previously married to actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The duo got separated in 2021 after being married for four years.
