After Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan starrer Acharya, the makers of Ravi Teja's Khiladi has postponed the release date of their film due to the pandemic crisis of COVID-19. While the film was scheduled to release on May 28, it has been pushed to a later date. Director of the film, Ramesh Varma shared this news on Twitter and wrote, "Keeping the current #Covid19 Pandemic in mind,Mass Maharaja @RaviTeja_offl's #Khiladi has been postponed! A New Release Date will be announced soon."
Also starring Meenakshi Chaudhary and Dimple Hayathi in key roles, the music of Khiladi has been composed by Devi Sri Prasad aka DSP. Talking about the music in the film, the composer exclusively told BollywoodLife, “Khiladi is definitely going to be very different because he's got negative shades and even for the first trailer that released, I just made a theme music and we cut the whole trailer according to that. All the movies Ravi Teja sir and I have worked on before like Badra and others were all musical blockbuster. For this one again, we're trying to do something very different. We've already done all the songs and they've come out very well. We were supposed to release it by May end, but now everything shifted because all the movies got postponed. But, yeah, it's really coming out well.”
Praising the lead actor of Khiladi, DSP added, “Ravi Teja sir is an actor whom I really adore because it's all about his energy. I always tell him, 'Even if one of your films doesn't do well and people tell me not to watch it, I still go an watch it just for you.' He's one of those very rare actors who can carry the whole thing on his shoulder and even if the film is not good, we'll still go and watch it because he can entertain through any scene, his every is such.”
