Popular Kollywood filmmaker KV Anand recently passed away due to cardiac arrest and we saw several celebs expressed their grief on social media. Now, actor Suriya, who collaborated with KV Anand for Kaappaan and other projects, penned an emotional letter for the late celeb sharing how important he was in his life. The translation of his letter reads, "K.V. Anand sir, your death reminds us with a tight slap that we are going through a global pandemic. The fact that you aren't here with us causes immense pain the heart. In the grief of your unacceptable loss, unforgettable memories are coming back like waves. It is through the pocture you took, an amazing moment had happened where Saravanan became Suriya. I'm still in awe about your dedication to show a new face in the right angle. That two-hour photoshoot at the Madras Talkies office made me feel like, I was at a battlefield. You were the sole reason as to why people started placing their faith in me. Not just that picture, you were the one behind the camera when I first debuted on the silver screen as an actor.” Also Read - Ponniyin Selvan: OTT rights of Mani Ratnam's film starrring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha Krishnan sold out for this whopping price

Your guidance, love and care still motivate me to do well in my career and the success of Ayan made me everyone's favourite and I look back on that, with gratitude. I'm really lucky to have been associated with you for my debut film and your last film. You will forever live in our memories sir."
