Ponniyin Selvan has added another record at the box office. It's now the first Tamil movie to breach the ₹200 crore mark in the state of Tamil Nadu itself.
The records keep tumbling for PS1. It has now beaten Brahmastra and Vikram to become the third highest grossing Indian film of the year, with ₹465 crore gross. It's doubtful that it'll cross KGF 2 and RRR though to climb any further.
Kantara pocketed ₹4 crore gross on day 1 in its Telugu version as opposed to ₹1.60 crore gross in Hindi and ₹2.50 crore gross in its native Kannada language, showing how much of a chord the Rishabh Shetty starrer has struck everywhere.
