Trisha Krishnan turns a year older today and the makers of her next film have planned to celebrate the day with the trailer of her upcoming thriller, Paramapadham Vilayattu. Trisha will venture into unexplored territory with this mystery film, wherein she plays a doctor and mother of a small girl. Directed by Thiru Gnanam, Paramapadham Vilayattu features Trisha getting kidnapped and how she bravely escapes the circumstance, forms the core of the film.

In a video Trisha had said, “Paramapadham Vilayattu is a political thriller and this is the first ever time I am part of a film that belongs to this genre. The film is a mix of thriller, revenge, action and emotions involving mother and daughter.” The film features Trisha as the solo lead and was shot in the dense forest areas of Yercaud.
Apart from this film, Trisha will reportedly step into Taapsee Pannu's role in the Tamil remake of Hindi blockbuster film Badla. The project will be produced by Dhananjayan.
