G Anand, the veteran singer of the Telugu film industry had passed away due to COVID-19. He was 67. He came from Andhra Pradesh's Srikakulam District. His first film was American Ammayi. He had sung the chartbuster, Oka Venuvu Vinipinchenu. It seems his oxygen levels had come down to 55. It seems the film industry people made arrangements but he breathed his last in no time. In his long career, he has also sung songs like Vithala Vithala Panduranga Vithala and Dikkulu Chudaku Ramayya.
He has sung in a number of films of Chiranjeevi. He has also composed songs for films like Gandhinagar Rendava Veedhi, Swathanthryaniki Oopiri Poyyandi, and Rangavalli. G Anand sang the song, Yeliyallo Yeliyallo for megastar Chiranjeevi's first film, Pranam Khareedu. Chiranjeevi said in a statement, "I am shocked to learn about the demise of Shri G Anand due to Covid-19. I have danced for the first time on the big screen for a song sung by him, and it has established an unconditional bond with him. His demise is a sad thing that stays with me for a long time. My condolences to his family."
Some hours back, there was an SOS tweet about his health. It read that oxygen was not easily available for him.
Last week, it was filmmaker KV Anand who left us. The South industry has seen the demise of people like SP Balasubrahmanym and Ramu due to COVID.
