Popular veteran in Tamil director JK Rithesh passed away in the wee hours of Saturday in Chennai. Rithesh was known for acting in films like LKG and many other 90s films. Ritesh suffered a major cardiac arrest on Saturday morning and breathed his last. According to reports, the veteran actor was campaigning in Ramanathapuram, Tamil Nadu when he complained of uneasiness in the chest. He was rushed to a nearby hospital immediately and was treated for a cardiac arrest. However, Ritesh good not survive the cardiac arrest and passed away in the hospital. His mortal remains are being brought to Chennai for family and friends to pay their last respects, according to reports.
Ritesh was last seen in RJ Balaji's LKG which was a political satire. The actor was seen playing the antagonist in this comical ride which went on to become a huge success. Ritesh was away from films for a very long time after foraying into politics in 2009. Ahead of the elections, Ritesh was campaigning from his constituency when he suffered the cardiac arrest.
Tamil film industry and fans of the actor our mourning the loss of of a talented actor. Social media has been abuzz with condolence messages for Ritesh.
Ritesh was born in Sri Lanka in 1973 and later, his family migrated to rameshwaram. Ritesh made his debut in films with karnal Mir which was directed by giant. He went on to act in films like nayagan and received great appreciation from Tamil audience.
