Yesterday, the shocking news of Sasural Simar Ka actor Ashiesh Roy being admitted to the ICU and battling for his life sent shock-waves across the entire TV industry as also the veteran actor's fans. The actor is undergoing dialysis (for the uninitiated, dialysis is the clinical purification of blood, usually required when a patient is suffering from kidney or renal failure) and his condition is critical. In fact, Ashiesh himself revealed the news via Facebook post, where he wrote: “Am in the içù...vêý ill.diàlysìs”. Check out his post below:
However, that wasn't the only worrying news about the actor as lockdown seems to have landed him in financial trouble, especially with no work, and subsequently, no payment, coming many artistes and crew members' way. And given how expensive a procedure like dialysis is, coupled with the number of times it needs to be administered once begun, it's bound to set Ashiesh Roy back even further. As such, he sent out a fervent plea in another Facebook post, where he wrote: “Need urr diagent moneyfor dialysis”. And going by how incoherently he had written the two posts, it looks like the actor health is pretty bad. Check out his second FB post below:
Now, Director Hansal Mehta, known for movies like Aligarh, Shahid and CityLights, has come forth to extend Ashiesh's plea to the film bodies across the nation, adding that he's doing all he can to help, but requests industry association to step in. The filmmaker wrote: “Actor Ashish Roy (Bond) is seriously ill, on dialysis and in the ICU. He has appealed for financial help on FB. I’m doing all I can to help. Can industry associations also help the ailing actor?” Check out his tweet below:
