The second week of October was quite low on controversies. There were a few controversial things that happened over the week, however, nothing major that would leave us shellshocked. But that doesn't mean the week was low on content. A lot happened this week. Right from the reports of actors leaving popular daily soaps to new actors entering others, along with the old ones returning to their respective ones. A lot has happened and let's check out some of the headlines of the week.

Mohit Malik

TV actor Mohit Malik was reported to be quitting his popular daily soap Kullfi Kumarr Bajewaala. Reportedly the show is taking a leap and Mohit is not interested to play a father to a 21-year-old girl. However, Malik has denied all the reports in a statement which read, "I have not been informed about it either by the makers. I have been hearing about the generation leap only from the media, so till the time I don't have any confirmation, I can't talk about it."

Aamna Sharif

TV actress Aamna Sharif who stepped into the shoes of Hina Khan as new Komolika kickstarted the shooting for the daily soap Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2. The first look of the actress made headlines all across the internet. Sharif entered the show last week.

Nupur Alankar

Swaragini actress Nupur Alankar became a victim of the Punjab and Maharashtra Co-operative Bank scam. The actress spoke about her financial crisis. The lady said she had to sell off jewellery to survive and borrow money from friends.

Disha Vakani

Well, it seems it is finally happening. TV actress Disha Vakani is returning to the tube with her popular TV show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah as Daya Ben. The suspense and conjecture around her entry made headlines all across the week.

Bigg Boss

TV reality show Bigg Boss remained under the scanner this week when BJP MLA from Ghaziabad, Nand Kishore Gujjar wrote a letter to the Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javdekar demanding that the show be taken off air. In his letter, the BJP legislator has alleged that the "show was promoting obscenity and vulgarity and was unfit for family viewing".
