CID has been the most loved TV serial. The show began in 1998 and had a successful run till 2018. The show has given us so many iconic characters and hence, when it went off-air, everyone was disappointed. People requested the makers to bring back their iconic show. Hence, the show returned in 2024. Yes, CID 2 is getting all the love and it is on Netflix too. The show has become the favourite again. Shivaji Satam, Dayanand Shetty, Ajay Nagrath, Aditya Srivastava, Ansha Sayed, Hrishikesh Pandey, Narendra Gupta, and others returned with their iconic roles.
However, we have seen that Shivaji Satam aka ACP Pradyuman was shown dead recently and Parth Samthaan entered the show as ACP Ayushmaan. We saw the twists and turns around the Barboza case. However, ACP Pradyuman returned and we saw that along with him Inspector Shreya also returned. ACP Pradyuman had saved Shreya's daughter from Barboza as Daya had promised Shreya that he would bring her daughter back safely.
Daya is the new villain of CID team?
Post that, we did not see Shreya in the show again. But, in the recent episodes, we saw Daya on a secret mission for Shreya. He is doing something against the CID team and it is all for Shreya. Fans are not happy with this storyline. When Ayushmaan left, it was also revealed that Dr. Salunkhe was the 'gaddar' in the team who helped Barboza. This is a big story in entertainment news and TV news.
Now, fans are not happy as the makers have been showing Daya as the villain. One of the users on X wrote, "You can't just kill on-duty cops, even if they're corrupt. Either Shreya, with the help of the Eye Gang, has kidnapped the real Daya sir and this one is an imposter, or the makers are deliberately trying to ruin Daya sir’s character. #CID2"
