CID is the most loved show on television which started in 1998 and ended in 2018. The show had a huge fan following who were disappointed after CID went off-air. People requested the makers to bring back the show and they have fulfilled fans dreams. CID season 2 is back in 2024 and the show starts Shivaji Satam, Dayanand Shetty, Aditya Srivastava, Hrishikesh Pandey, Narendra Gupta, and others in their roles. The second season of CID is running successfully and streams on Netflix. The show has been witnessing major twists and turns.
Fans were left disappointed when Shivaji Satam aka ACP Pradyuman was shown dead and makers roped in Parth Samthaan to play the role of ACP Ayushmaan. But, now ACP Pradyuman is back and how? Janvi Chheda aka Inspector Shreya returned, but fans were left shocked when Dr. Salunkhe was shown as the gaddar. Makers have brought back actress Shraddha Musale aka Dr. Tarika. She is seen handling the Forensic department and her scenes with Inspector Abhijeet seem to be winning hearts.
During an interview with TimesOfIndia, the actress said, “C.I.D. had already begun a few months ago, and I had always wanted to return. But I was quite busy with my startup and was constantly travelling to Dubai for the same. Once I got some breathing space and returned, things just aligned. It felt natural, like the right time — and it just happened".
The actress even said that fans will surely get to see more of Inspector Abhijeet (played by Aditya Srivastava) and Dr Tarika. She even said that they have shot some scenes together in the first couple of episodes. She even said that she genuinely hoped the audience would enjoy watching them together as they enjoyed working together. She said that their chemistry is something even they cherish.
Shraddha said that her character arc is different from the first time that the audience met her. She said that her character of Dr Tarika is still the beloved character that people know and remember. She said that Dr Tarika has pursued higher studies and has become a specialist in her field. Dr Tarika has returned as a senior and has experienced forensic expert. Dr Tarika was in another profession too, before returning to the CID bureau. The actress Shraddha was quite excited to work with the same cast and crew. She even said that she felt like she was picking up right where she left off.
