Social media users are testimony to the immense response that actor Shrenu Parikh has got for her quirky campaign. The actress, who is set to essay the role of Janhvi Mittal, of an ideal bahu with an evil side, in her upcoming show, Ek Bhram- Sarvagun Sampanna took over the social media with an interesting campaign #AakhriSaas, this morning. The campaign #AakhriSaas is already trending with the buzz of responses from her fans and twitterati! The campaign aimed at an interactive engagement of the character, Shrenu Parikh aka Janhvi with followers on twitter and Instagram, where she welcomed ideas from them on how to trouble her mother-in- law, hinting on the bitter-sweet essence of the relationship. In just a couple of hours, twitter was abuzz with #AakhriSaas where Janhvi received numerous trick-o-tells from people.
Earlier, Shrenu had shared the new promo of her upcoming show on social media. Her fans were surprised to see her in a different avatar as she has always played the perfect and ideal bahu, over the years. The makers of the show have kept the story-line a secret, so far but have not shied away from interesting campaigns and trail of glimpses to build on the curiosity.
Over the promotions period, the makers were able to build on the anticipation around the show and the never-seen- before avatar of Janhvi, essayed by Shrenu, who has been a household name on the television screen with her previous shows like Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, Ishqbaaaz to name a few. Apart from Shrenu, Zain Imam will be seen playing the lead role in the upcoming show.
To kick off the first leg of promotions, Shrenu was seen seeking blessings at the monumental 1000 years old Saas Bahu Temple in Udaipur, Rajasthan. The campaign brought back the focus on the forgotten heritage site. The character Janhvi Mittal is all over the social media, holding the attention of the paparazzi for being the namesake to Janhvi Kapoor- drawing comparisons, polling on looks and loving them both with the hashtag #KJanhviVsJanhvi.
The show is set to air on national television, Star Plus at 7 pm, Monday to Friday- to clear your 'Bhram' as the 'Sarvagun Sampanna' of the show- Ek Bhram Sarvagun Sampanna.
