Naamkarann was one of the most popular TV shows in recent times and there is no doubting that. Even though it has been around a year since the show went off air, the actors and their characters are still very much alive in the minds and hearts of the show's loyal fans. Both the show leads Zain Imam and Aditi Rathore gained immense popularity for playing Neil and Avni respectively. The craze for the two actors was such that their fans could not imagine them being paired with anyone else even then and they are not very receptive about it even now.
To prove our point, here's an incident. When Zain's upcoming show Ek Bhram Sarvagun Sampanna was in the making, the actor's fans went into a social media frenzy towards show producer Dipti Kalwani for not pairing him with Aditi.
Recently, when BollywoodLife was interacting with Zain in an exclusive interview, we too quizzed him about the controversy. "People started to talk nonsense about the producer and Aditi. And they started a tiff amongst themselves which I don't have an idea who spread it. But eventually, haters gonna hate," (sic) Zain explained.
When asked if he spoke to Aditi about the entire fiasco and had a laugh about it, Zain revealed that he is currently not in touch with his former co-star. "I haven't spoken to her since a long time. She is not in touch with anybody," he said. While admitting that Aditi chooses to remain aloof, he added, "If somebody wants to remain personal then (you should) let them be."
During the same interaction, Zain also revealed that he is not comfortable doing bold content and so is staying away from the digital space. He revealed that during his brief hiatus after Naamkarann, he was looking out for opportunities on the web too, but it didn't work out for him. "I want to do neat and clean work. And you get a lot of (such) opportunities on the web, but I like to do work where I can sit with my family and watch it with them," he explained. "I would probably not do bold roles on web or avoid such kinds of stuff," Zain confessed when asked if in the future he would mind doing bold content.
Meanwhile, in Ek Bhram Sarvagun Sampanna, he will be seen with Shrenu Parikh, Tina Phillips and Tanvi Dogra. Ek Bhram Sarvagun Sampanna, which was launched with much fanfare at a 1000-year-old temple in Udaipur, will go on air on April 22 at 7 pm.
