TV actor Kinshuk Vaidya, who is still remembered as Sanju from the very popular TV series Shakalaka Boom Boom is ready for his next TV series. As BollywoodLife first reported, Kinshuk will play the lead in TV adaptation of Nagraj Manjule's Sairat. Vaidya plays Badal, a scheduled caste boy hailing from Uttar Pradesh in & TV's Jaat Na Pucho Prem Ki. During an exclusive conversation with BollywoodLife, Kinshuk pointed out how male actors get fewer meaty characters and said, “As a male actor I find creative satisfaction while working on the show. I have so much to do in this show."
Since Sairat and Dhadak have been so popular, comparisons are bound to happen. However, Kinshuk reveals that his character is very different from that played by Akash Thosar in Sairat and Ishaan Khatter in Dhadak. “My character of Badal is starkly different from Madhu and Parshya. Obviously, those who haven’t seen the show will compare but once you watch it you’ll realise that there is no point of comparison." Furthermore, Kinshuk revealed that while prepping for the show, he didn't take inspiration from the two actors or the characters. Instead, Kinshuk's inspiration came from another famous pop culture project. "Mirzapur (a digital series featuring Ali Fazal and Pankaj Tripathi), helped me a lot, since Badal hails from Uttar Pradesh," Kinshuk revealed. As a part of his homework, he also visited UP and observed the youngsters there.
Kinshuk, who was last seen in mythological saga Karn Sangini as Arjun, was asked to leave the show due its low ratings resulting into major track changes. However, the actor still maintained that the drama didn't disappoint him. "It did work out in my favour because I got much adulation for my work. The incident didn’t really bog me down!"
Coming back to Jaat Na Pucho Prem Ki, Kinshuk will romance newbie Pranali Singh Rathod. When asked how his bonding with the actress, Kinshuk said, "As actors, we can express emotions even while looking at a rock. Besides, some of the biggest TV couples don’t get along onscreen and have huge fights off camera, but they exhibit excellent chemistry onscreen. So bonding has no relation with on-screen chemistry, however, Pranali and I are good friends."
On the personal front, Kinshuk has been dating his Ek Rishta Saajhedari Ka co-star Shivya Pathania since a long time. The actor revealed that he got the best compliment for Jaat Na Pucho Prem Ki from his girlfriend. "She absolutely loved it. She told me that she used to watch such shows on TV when she was young and in Shimla. I think that’s one of the sweetest compliments I have got, knowing that she would have been hooked to the show.”
Kinshuk and Shivya have been seeing each other for more than two years now. The two want to take their relationship slowly and have no plans to get married anytime soon. "As of now, both of us are busy and hectic. We have no plans as of now but eventually, of course! We haven't put down a year to it as of now,” concluded Kinshuk.
