If news reports to be believed, then Kapil Sharma has taken a huge pay cut for the second season of The Kapil Sharma Show. As per a report in Dainik Bhaskar, the star comedian who used to charge around Rs 60-70 lakh per episode is now getting only Rs 17-20 lakh. The report also said that Bharti Singh and Krushna Abhishek too have slashed their fee and are making only Rs 10-12 lakh per episode. When BollywoodLife got in touch with Krushna Abhishek, he said, "These pay cut rumours are false. We are getting our stipulated amount. We are extremely happy working together. Anyways, money is secondary. No one can beat the fact that The Kapil Sharma Show is the biggest comedy show in the country." He also said that Salman Khan was a very generous producer and cost-cutting was out of the question.
A source from the channel said, "Only time will tell if the second season is a success. We are getting enough and more sponsorship for the show till now. The response on social media was also good. The producers are not cutting costs at any levels. The success or failure will be evident after we get the first TRPs." We also texted Kapil Sharma but could not get a revert till the time of filing the story. The comedian has made a comeback after a year to return with the second season of The Kapil Sharma Show. Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan were the first guests for Simmba. This time, we have Salman Khan and his family on the show. Stay tuned to BL for more scoops and updates!
