Over the years, we have seen a spate of dance reality shows in the country. And they have proved one thing, which is India has immense dancing talent. Well, the win of The Kings at the NBC World Of Dance has cemented it. The team of 14 from the age group of 17-27 years has won the show and prize money of one million dollars. BollywoodLife got in touch with filmmaker-choreographer Remo D'Souza who told us, "I am so proud. They have made the Indian flag fly high. This is it! For me, it is like a dream come true. I told Suresh and The Kings that they will come out victorious this time. For someone, who knows about their journey, it is a huge feat. It is proof that India has the best talent." This is not all. Remo also revealed that this win has given him the script for ABCD 4 or his next dance film. "They have given me the script for my fourth film. I will definitely do something that chronicles their journey. For the boys, I would like to say again, I am very proud. They are some of the best dancers in the world."
At the finale, they were told to deliver a dance that looked like a cinematic narrative. They did that with an action piece that blew over Jennifer Lopez, Ne-Yo and Derek Hough. The team danced on songs like Malhari and Tattad Tattad. The final piece had all the judges jumping out of their chairs. Ne-Yo said it was one of the best sequences he had seen in his life.
Remo D'Souza is now busy with workshops for Street Dancer 3D. The film will release on November 8, 2019. Varun Dhawan, Shraddha Kapoor, Punit J Pathak and Nora Fatehi have finished a long schedule in London. Now, they are rehearsing for some dance sequences. Terence Lewis, Geeta Kapur and Remo D'Souza were judges of Dance India Dance, one of India's pioneering dance reality shows. The filmmaker-choreographer has been a father figure for many aspirants from all over India. Stay tuned to BL for more scoops and updates!
