Non-fiction shows were quite a rage in 2018 and even now when another year has kickstarted. Due to the lack of originality, novelty and creativity on the fictional front, reality shows seemed to have fared well on the idiot box in 2018. Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L'il Champs ran for over six months due to its popularity, on the other hand, Bigg Boss 11 was one of the biggest seasons of the captive reality series. We also had Khatron Ke Khiladi's season being one of the highest rated installments from the adventure reality series. While the next season of Bigg Boss flopped miserably, Khatron Ke Khiladi is currently doing decently well. When talent reality shows like Indian Idol saw rocket soaring TRPs, others like Dance Plus and Kaun Banega Crorepati fizzled in comparison to their predecessors. Now, if you are wondering what is it that makes a reality show a hit, the answer isn't rocket science. It is merely the right pick of contestants in the series that decides its fate. And while some contestants prove to be perfect entertainment packages, some are just not made for these kinds of shows. So, we list down those celebrities for you who are a bummer for the audience.

Sreesanth

The first name that came to our mind was that of Sreesanth aka Leader of Abort Mission. The former cricketer has been a part of four reality shows till now - Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 7, Bigg Boss 12 and Khatron Ke Khiladi 9. Except the first reality show which was a TV debacle, S Sreesanth has backed out / threatened to back out of the other shows. He is not a sportsman when it comes to non-fiction series, Bigg Boss 12 and Khatron Ke Khiladi 9 being the most recent instances. While many may think he is quite a draamebaaz and a perfect fit for reality TV, we think he is really annoying. He never wants to participate in any tasks and if a celebrity is least interested then why waste a spot on the show?

Shamita Shetty

Well, we do love Shamita Shetty. But the only reason we don't want her to participate in a reality show is for her own good. Wondering why? Well, Shamita is quite unlucky whenever she decides to participate in one. When she participated in Bigg Boss 3, all of us thought she would walk away with the trophy just like her sister Shilpa Shetty did on the international version of the show. However, the actress had to quit the show due to her sister's wedding. She couldn't even complete her journey. She then participated in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8. And during a dance rehearsal, she broke her nose and was admitted to the hospital. However, she finished the show as second runner up. She then contested in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 9 and guess what happened? Her health suddenly went for a toss and she had to stay away from the show during the initial days. She only entered the show as a wildcard entrant. So, this is for the goodwill of Shamita Shetty, that she chooses to stay away from the genre.

Rimi Sen

Can we copy paste the reasons for Sreesanth, here? Well, we don't need to say much about her. Rimi Sen participated in Bigg Boss 9, which is by far the most boring season of the show. Honestly, being a Rimi Sen fan, I was quite excited about her participation and was even vouching for her to win. However, the lady decided to be a big bore in the house. It is okay to be boring, (Hiten Tejwani, Sangram Singh, Minnisha Lamba, take a chill pill) but the lack of sportsmanship, the lack of desire to participate in any form of tasks is a big bummer. So, we really hope nobody wastes their money on Rimi Sen and get her in another reality show.

Divya Agarwal

Reality starlet Divya Agarwal started with a dating reality show Splitsvilla. In the entire course of the show, she was buzzing around her co-contestant and an already popular model-actor Priyank Sharma. Result? She got into the finals of the show. She then participated in another reality show Ace Of Space. During the entire run of that show, she was seen cribbing about, guess who? Her ex-co-contestant, ex-boyfriend, Priyank Sharma. She also got involved with her co-contestant Varun Sood in the house. Result? She won the show. However, if you'll ask anyone how entertaining Divya is, they'll roll their eyes for sure. Remember that ad, where they ask in chorus - Taste Kaha Hai? Every time Divya comes on screen, the audience ends up asking - Entertainment Kaha Hai?
