The longest-ever episode of the cult HBO series recorded 17.8 million viewers inclusive of replays and streaming. The Battle of Winterfell had the forces of the Night King fought against Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen and their troops. Characters like Jorah Mormont, Lyann Mormont, Theon Greyjoy, Melisandre also perished in the battle. The count of 17.8 million viewers surpassed the 17.4 million viewers who tuned in for the season premiere on April 14.
As per The Hollywood Reporter, the episode's on-air debut drew 12.02 million people, the second-largest audience ever for an initial airing of Game of Thrones. The finale of season seven holds the top spot with 12.07 million viewers. The average of the first two episodes of the final season is 16.65 million viewers including replays and streaming, on the air they aired. The stats for the first night of the second episode (April 21) was 15.9. As per HBO, around 38 million have seen the premiere. It is the biggest series made ever for a TV screen.
