In the past we have seen many TV shows going off-air within few months of their launch and the latest one to join the list is Hiten Tejwani's Gupta Brothers: Chaar Kunware From Ganga Kinare. Talking about the incident, Hiten told E Times, "I got to know about 'my' show going off air by watching the promo of the show replacing it having the same timings. It is then when I called up the producer to ask what was happening. Even he was shocked and then he too found out that the decision was taken overnight. This trend is really saddening in the industry!"

He added, "The least that could have been done is to inform the cast and crew a month in advance about the show going off air. What is the harm in doing that? I have worked in the industry for so long and more that being angry I am upset to see that there is no concept of a notice period for us. Why can't there be a system of a notice period for the cast and crew of the show which is slated to go off air?" "Of course, I knew that the show is not doing well and that it might be pulled off air, but so soon? I have actually said no to some good work because I was engaged for a month with this project. I mean, forget about us actors, think from the point of view of the people working behind the cameras. How will they find a suitable job so soon in these hard times? Waise bhi people are out of job in our industry because of the ongoing pandemic and uspe the show suddenly goes off air, raaton raat kahan se kaam milega unhe?'
When asked what went wrong in the show, he replied, "The show initially started off with the drama genre, then because of the low TRPs the genre was quickly changed to comedy and then we shifted back to drama and now we are going off air. As I have mentioned earlier too, that a show needs to be given a minimum time to work, at least seven months, and I stick by it."
