TV actress Mansi Srivastava, best known for her role in Ishqbaaaz decided to call off her engagement with TV actor Mohit Abrol. The TV couple has been dating for eight years and were engaged in August 2016. The reports about her breakup came out for a long time, however, the actress chose to stay mum. Even when BollywoodLife asked the actress about the rumours she decided to not comment. However, now Mansi has decided to come out in open and reveal that she and Mohit have parted ways and not recently but at the very beginning of this year. While talking to Bombay Times, Mansi confirmed the reports by saying, "There were compatibility issues and lack of understanding." She further spoke about what went wrong in their relationship. "We wanted different things from life. Mohit and I gave our relationship many chances, but it just didn’t work out. I realised that it makes no sense to drag the relationship on and hence, I decided to end it in January this year. Looking back, I feel that we could have worked it out if we had tried to handle things maturely and with a bit more understanding. But it’s all in the past now," she added. The couple was supposed to tie the knot in March 2018, however, due to unknown reasons it didn't really work out. Talking about the breakup the actress added, "I am glad that the break-up has been cordial. I cherish my time with Mohit and will always wish the best for him. In fact, I don’t mind being his friend." Mansi is currently seen in Divya Drishti, while Mohit was last seen in Porus. Mansi accepted that the breakup was heartbreaking but her parents made it easier for her. "It was extremely difficult initially, as Mohit and I have literally grown up together. We have known each other since our days in Delhi, when we were working with the same airlines. I was 23 years old when we fell in love, and I wanted to marry him immediately. However, our families wanted us to settle in our careers first. It was difficult for me to call it off, and I am sure it was equally difficult for him, too. But we are better off without each other, for our personal and professional growth," she concluded.
