This has happened after his wife, Nisha Rawal filed an FIR on him for domestic violence. The complaint was lodged at Goregaon Police Station. She has said that he beat her up. It seems the two had a huge fight last night at their residence where he beat her up. It seems he got violent after losing his temper, and the violence led to Nisha Rawal getting stitches on her head. The news has been confirmed by the cops. DCP Vishal Thakur said, "We have arrested him on the charges of domestic violence. His wife Nisha Rawal has filed complaint." However, now Karan Mehra has got bail.
Earlier, there have been rumours that the couple's marriage hit a rough patch and the two were struggling to keep things afloat. But when questioned they said that these just rumours. This news has left everyone shocked and even Karan's friends. His Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai co-star Rohan Mehra opened up about his arrest and domestic violence charges by Nisha Rawal. In an interview with SpotBoye, Rohan Mehra said that he is extremely shocked to read the news but will not comment on the matter now as he feels it's their personal life and they only know what has gone wrong. He also shared that Karan has always been very respectful towards everyone.
Rohan Mehra said, "I know him since last 5-6 years and he is a very good person in real life. He has been very respectful towards with everyone working with him on the sets including technicians. I have never seen him losing his temper or raising his voice on somebody. In fact we have stayed together in Bigg Boss where controlling oneself at times becomes very difficult but there also he was the one who has always maintained his calm. Karan is just like his onscreen character (Naitik) in real life a good husband, son. I have also met Nisha and he has always respected her a lot. She too is an amazing person."
