Popular television actress Jaya Bhattacharya has worked in several popular shows. She played a key role in Ekta Kapoor's Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Makers are all set to launch Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi season 2 and have roped in the old star cast to reprise their roles. There is no confirmation of Jaya returning as Payal Parikh in Smriti Irani starrer. The actress has spoken her heart out about her experience.

Jaya Bhattacharya revealed she was the most underpaid actress
In an interview with podcast host Siddharth Kannan, the actress said that she worked on the show for 7 years but was one of the most underpaid actresses. She revealed that while other actors drew hefty amounts, despite working for 7 years, she received only one appraisal during that time.
The actress shared, “I was the most underpaid actor. I never got a raise. Only once I asked for a raise, and while everyone got a raise of 2 thousand rupees, I got only 1 thousand. That hit my ego, so I didn’t ask for it ever again and hence didn’t get a raise for a straight 7 years".
Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 is all set to premiere on July 29 and is one of the most anticipated show wherein Smriti Irani and Amar Upadhyay will return as Tulsi and Mihir Virani. The second season will also star Hiten Tejwani, Gauri Pradhan, Shakti Anand, Kamalika Guha Thakurta, Shagun Sharma, Rohit Suchanti, Aman Gandhi, Ankit Bhatia, and Tanisha Mehta in interesting roles. Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi first aired in 2000 and became a rage among the masses. Smriti Irani will make her television comeback after 12 years with Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2.
