Ramayan and Mahabharat are two of the most epic Hindu mythologies that people love with all their hearts. And since the lockdown was announced, thanks to the Information and Broadcasting Minister of India, Prakash Javadekar, we got them, iconic 80s and 90s TV show back. Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan and Uttar Ramayan and B.R Chopra's Mahabharat are few of the TV shows that had been brought back by the channels as a result of lockdown. Mahabharat, which had 94 episodes in total, originally aired from 2nd October 1988 to 24 June 1990. It was one of the iconic TV shows and people watch the re-run with the same gusto and admiration for the stars. A video from the last day of their shoot is going viral.
In the video, we can see Krishna aka Nitish Bharadwaj consoling the whole cast and crew of the TV show as they broke down on the sets on their last day of the shoot. Mukesh Khanna, Gajendra Chauhan, Roopa Ganguly, Praveen Kumar and others could be seen crying as they completed the last shot. Fans of the show were touched and turned emotional when they watched the video. Have a look at the video here:
Fans have sharing the video and expressing their sentiments over social media. "B R Chopra Mahabharat is one in a millenia creation. It feels the characters of Mahabharata were reborn to create this masterpiece for our generation to watch ?," one fan wrote. Another one wrote, "It's been 30 years now, still remember the good old days when, as kids ,we used to watch all episodes of Mahabharat ...evergreen serial ?" Have a look at the fan reactions here:
