Ramayan proved to be the greatest force ever on global TV as it smashed records. The show got a record 77 million viewers beating the milestones set by Game Of Thrones and The Big Bang Theory. BollywoodLife caught up with a chat with Sunil Lahri who won hearts as Lakshman. He has been the most popular character with the young generation. In fact, quite a few women are crushing over his pics from his younger days. But the news is that it is his son Krish Pathak who is emerging as the new crush in town. Sunil Lahri exclusively told us, "Well, he had a small role in POW-Bandi Yudh Ke. Krish never told me that he plans to get into acting. I also did not take it seriously then. In the past few years, he has been making short films and working on his skills. I feel he is growing as an artiste. As a father, I would want that he is 500 times more successful than me."
The veteran also spoke about why the new tales of Lord Rama - Sita and Mahabharat were not able to create that magic as the old versions. "See, the technology used has got thousand times better. Sets, costumes, VFX everything has improved but the new crop of writers seem to forget that these sagas have a lot of emotions. They do not write with emotions and that is why they are failing to create timeless products. That is their biggest failure," he says.
The actor was asked by one fan in our live whether he was a romantic person in real life. "Well, romance is a very important emotion in life. If you do not romance what is near you, somehow you cannot derive its complete experience. I, being an actor can romance anything," he said.
