TV czarina Ekta Kapoor is back with a brand new show on Zee TV titled Haiwaan. Just like Kumkum Bhagya and Kundali Bhagya, we are sure the new show will become very popular on Indian television, however, the genre of this one is far from the regular saas-bahu dramas that seem to work like magic for TV audience. Haiwaan will be a weekend show that is set in the thriller and sci-fi space. We had earlier reported that Param Singh and Ankit Mohan had been brought on board as the parallel male leads and as per a new report, popular TV actress Ridhima Pandit has been finalised as the female lead on Haiwaan.
A short teaser clip earlier shared by the channel on its Instagram handle shows a destructed city with buildings collapsing and helicopters flying around, hinting at an apocalypse. Watch the promo here:
Ridhima is one of the leading television actresses. She started out as a model and has featured in several ad campaigns for renowned skin and hair care brands. The starlet is a trained stage actor and was a part of Nadira Babbar’s theatre group. She rose to fame with her performance in Bahu Hamari Rajni Kant and has also participated in reality shows.
As for Haiwaan, the serial is set in the city of Shimodra. Param’s character Randhir is a billionaire man with big dreams while Ankit essays his best friend Inder. Randhir and Inder are thick as thieves until a twist turns their lives upside down. Sufficient to say, Haiwaan is set heavily in the superhero space. It will be telecast on Saturday-Sunday tentatively at 7 pm, 31 August 2019 onwards.
