Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai actor Rajesh Kumar aka Rosesh Sarabhai, who is currently shooting for his new show, Excuse Me Madam, has tested positive for coronavirus. As per a report in ETimes, he is asymptomatic and getting treated at home where he is under quarantine. He had started shooting for Excuse Me Madam just a few days back and was following all the safety measures. The show also stars Divya Drishti actress Nyra Banerjee and Sucheta Khanna. Nyra Banerjee is playing the role of his boss in Excuse Me Madam and Sucheta Khanna plays Rajesh Kumar's wife in the show. Earlier, Rajesh Kumar spoke shooting amidst the pandemic. In an interview with Bombay Times, he said, "In the pandemic, we are all trying to take it slow. While I would love to do a variety of roles, for some reason, people assumed that I had moved away from showbiz and focusing only on farming. Yes, I enjoy farming even now, but my passion to act will never cease. I am currently reading scripts and will finalise something soon."
"I feel if someone is offering you a comedy role after they liked you in a particular show, it means that you are good at it. Also, comedy is serious business. Not all actors can be good in comedy roles. Therefore, I feel proud that makers have been offering me comedy roles regularly because it means I am good at it and my work is unique. I want to do more such roles in the future and entertain viewers," he added. Well, coronavirus has surely become a huge threat for us. Recently, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actors Sachin Tyagi, Samir Onkar, Swati Chitnis and four technicians had also tested positive for Coronavirus. The shooting of the show is stopped. Producer Rajan Shahi in an official statement said, "Actors Swati Chitnis, Sachin Tyagi, Samir Onkar, who are an integral part of ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai', have tested positive for COVID-19, but the three of them are asymptomatic. Due to safety reasons, they are in home quarantine. BMC had advised them for the same as they were showing no symptoms. Immediately, the entire on-crew team was isolated and tested. Four crew members have now tested positive. The BMC has been informed and the entire set has been sanitised and fumigated. Currently, all of them are receiving medical attention in home quarantine. We are constantly in touch with them as their health is our priority. We stand by our commitment to safety and will continue to ensure that all safety and precautionary measures are adhered to."
Earlier, even Parth Samthaan from Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 had also tested positive for coronavirus. He is now back on set to shoot. However, the actor will now quit the show.
