Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai: Rupali Ganguly AKA Monisha reacts to the unofficial Pakistani version; says, 'What they have done is an insult'

Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai actress Rupali Ganguly has slammed the unofficial Pakistani version of the show and said that they have insulted the show. She also said that Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai should be brought back on television.

Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai has been the all-time favourite show of many. People enjoy watching the funny fights between Maya and his daughter-in-law Monisha. Rosesh Sarabhai's poetry have become quite famous and many memes have been made on it. The show had recently returned on a digital platform and once again made everyone laugh. A few days back we saw the writer of the show Aatish Kapadia came across the replica of the show, made by the Pakistani makers. Aatish posted it on Facebook and slammed the Pakistani makers for bluntly copying his bit-by-bit and called it a daylight robbery. He asked fans not to view this show and give them any importance. Now, Rupali Ganguly who played Monisha Sarabhai has slammed the Pakistani makers for copying the show and insulting it. In an interview with the Times Of India, Rupali Ganguly spoke about the same. She said, "It’s disgusting the way they have copied it frame to frame. I know imitation is the best form of flattery, but what they have done is an insult. It’s such a bad copy with tacky looking characters, sets, dialogues, it’s all very sleazy." She was asked if the makers will take any legal action against it. She said, "We have made the topic official now. Let’s see if they pull it down or not. Else, we will move according to the need of the hour." Rupali Ganguly also said that this should be a sign for the makers to bring back the show. She said, "Now at least the makers need to realise that we need to bring back Sarabhai. We (the cast) are raring to go, waiting to come back, and are absolutely ready on the starting line. Aatish bhai is ready too. We should bring back the original and give these sad, non-creative people fodder to make some more horrible copies!"
