The third season of singing reality show The Voice India finally concluded as Sumit Saini was announced as the winner. He was mentored by singer Harshdeep Kaur in this season. Sumit took home the trophy and also a cash prize of Rs 25 lakh. The young talented singer hails from Haryana and belongs to a religious, farmer's family. He has been singing since childhood. He began stage singing with the many Jagrata held during Navratri festival in North India. From Haryana to the stage of The Voice India, Saini has come a long way. In the grand finale, he impressed one and all with his rendition of Enna Sona from the film Ok! Jaanu originally crooned by Arijit Singh and composed by AR Rahman.

This season was popular on social media too with Armaan Malik being one of the judges with Adnan Sami and Harshdeep Kaur. Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya also made her debut as an anchor with the reality show. Saini is a huge fan of Bollywood superstar, Ajay Devgn. In the Mahashivratri special episode, Sumit had said, "I am a huge fan of Ajay Devgn sir as I feel very related to him. I believe that we both share a spiritual connection. We both are ardent Lord Shiva devotees. He in his lot of interviews revealed that since childhood, he has been fascinated with Lord Shiva as he is the only god with imperfections and has many facets to him which can be seen in every individual. Ajay Devgn sir’s tattoo reflects his devotion for Lord Shiva."
