Kanwar Dhillon plays the role of Sachin Deshmukh in Udne Ki Aasha. The show has been loved by all and the TRPs have been brilliant. There was a time when the show even left Anupamaa behind. The serial has completed 500 episodes and Kanwar spoke to BollywoodLife about this achievement. He said the journey so far has been nothing short of extraordinary. The show is produced by Rahul Kumar Tewary in association with Rolling Tales Production. On this big achievement, Kanwar shared what makes the show special.
“Udne Ki Aasha is a consistently loved show because it’s so relatable. It’s rooted in everyday life and family dynamics. There’s no unnecessary exaggeration, and I think that’s where we truly stand apart from a lot of other content on TV,” he said.
He credits much of the show’s success to the creative vision of producer Rahul Kumar Tewary. He shared, “Rahul sir is by far the best producer I’ve worked with in my 14-year career. He’s more than a producer—he’s a friend, a father figure, a guide. We talk about everything under the sun, not just work. I’ll forever be grateful to him for giving me Sachin Deshmukh and believing in me.”
Speaking about the show’s ongoing storyline, Kanwar adds, “The current track dives into Sachin’s backstory and his bond with his friend. I’m excited for the audience to see how it all unfolds. Will Sachin find the truth? Will Sailee help him? There’s a lot of suspense ahead.”
Kanwar also highlights the strong bond he shares with the team. The actor shared, “We spend 12 to 15 hours a day on set—it’s truly like a family. Everyone from the director to the creative team to the cast is very close-knit. That harmony shows on screen.”
On fan reactions, he shares, “The love I’ve received for Sachin has been overwhelming. Men, women, rickshaw drivers, cab drivers—everyone comes up to me with such warmth. It shows how deeply the show has connected.”
From action to emotion, Kanwar has explored every shade of his character. “Every day on set brings a new moment. But the first time we hit the number one spot—that will always be special, “he concluded.
