Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 18 December 2018 written update of full episode: Kartik and Naira rejoice the parenthood
This is what happened in today's episode
As Naira realizes that Kartik is also happy for the baby but he is just hurt as he got to know about it after all the family members, she gets emotional. Both of them are very happy as Naira is pregnant. Kartik says that the feeling of being a father is very beautiful. Both of them have tears in eyes out of happiness. Kartik hugs Naira. He tells her that he is very much happy with the news. Kartik lifts her in his arms and turn circular as they are very happy.
On the other side Kirti makes all understand that they all should be happy with Naira’s news. She asks all of them to speak up as they all are silent. So Suhasini congratulates Kaveri (Bhabhi Ma). All are happy including Luv-Kush as they will also become uncle. Kartik is very much happy with Naira’s pregnancy news so is Naira. Naira apologizes to him as she couldn’t tell him about it even though she tried a lot but could not muster the courage. Kartik says that it was his fault as he refused it strongly. Naira asks him to sit. She shows him the sonography report where they can see the baby’s growth in her belly. Kartik pulls her leg by reconfirming whether it is their baby. Later he observes the report image with the mobile camera by zooming. Naira is very much happy to see him excited. She asks him whether he is happy. Kartik says that he is very happy. He takes a selfie of both of them. Naira asks him about it. Kartik tells her that they will take a selfie everyday till the baby comes. So Naira says that the baby should also be there in the picture. So they again take selfie Kartik keeping a hand on her stomach for baby. Naira says that she can now express her happiness properly. She also says that she was happy when she came to know about it but now as he is with her, the happiness has got doubled, tripled. Later she remembers that all must be waiting for them downstairs. Kartik also says that it got slipped out of his mind also. So he asks her to go down to meet everyone. Kartik takes her down carefully. Kirti sings a song for Naira. Later all the ladies sing along her. They celebrate Naira’s pregnancy news with dancing and singing. Suhasini gives her golden bangle to Naira as a gift. Naira apologizes to her for not informing them about her pregnancy. Kaveri and Devyani also adore her. Kirti is happy as kids of Naira and hers will get each other’s company as they both are having. Naira also joins singing the song about the baby that is going to come in their family.
Later all the ladies ask Naira to have all the healthy food one by one but Naira is not able to have all that. They all make her understand that now she needs to eat for herself as well as for baby. Kirti also shares some experiences of changes in her body. Naksh, Akhilesh also their experiences with Kartik about the mood swings that the ladies have during pregnancy. After some time Kartik and Naira ask all not to give so much of knowledge as both of them are not able to digest so much knowledge on the day 1 only. All laugh at both of them.
In the night, Naira talks to her baby assuming that babies do listen to what their mother say. She says that she loves her baby. She also shares that whenever she used to see would be mothers talking to their babies in the movies, she used to find it funny but today she is feeling amazing to talk to her own baby. Later she decides to read some of the pages of her mother’s (Akshara) diary. She misses her mother. She says that her mother is with her in terms of the diary. She reads some lines from her mother’s diary. She is very happy as she is getting a nice feeling of being pregnant. She starts dancing alone with that mood. By that time Kartik arrives there. He is happy to see her happy. He asks her if he can also join her. So both of them keep dancing with slow moves.
At night, Kartik is still looking at the sonography report for baby’s image with the mobile torch. Naira notices that. She asks him about what he is doing. Kartik pretends that he was looking for the time in the mobile. Naira doesn’t believe him. Later Kartik gives reason that he was looking for a mosquito that came inside the net. Naira says that he is saying all lies. She asks him whether he was about to have a chocolate as he was having stress. Kartik says that he will tell her about what he was doing but he also warns her for not making fun of him or make any joke on that. Kartik tells her the fact that he was looking at the report. Naira finds him cute for that. She asks him to go to sleep so that they can see dreams of their baby.
In the next scene, someone knocks at the door of Suhasini’s room. She wonders about who can be there so late. It is Manish. She gets scared. She opens the door. She asks him whether there is any news from Suwarna’s brother’s health. But Manish says that he was not able to sleep as he was thinking about the baby. He is very excited as Kirti and Naira both are pregnant so he will be maternal and paternal grandfather. Suhasini asks him to go to sleep and let her also sleep. Manish asks her that such news doesn’t come every day. He asks her whether she is happy. Suhasini says that she is very happy but she has not gone mad out of it. She asks him to call Suwarna and irritate her. Manish says that Suwarna switched off her mobile phone. Suhasini feels that she did it right. Manish gets upset. He says that it is better to be alone. While he is about to leave from there, Suhasini asks him to come and tell her what he has in his mind. Manish shares his excitement. He asks her to pray so that their happiness is not jinxed by anyone.
In the next scene there is a dream sequence where Naira gets up from sleep and starts screaming out of pain as she feels that there is some problem to their baby. Kartik gets scared. He keeps on telling her that the baby will be fine. But Naira collapses down. Later when he keeps on screaming, Naira wakes up. She asks him about the issue. Kartik realizes that it was his dream. Naira asks him whether he saw a bad nightmare. Kartik tells her lie that he saw a horror movie with Luv and Kush so he got scared. Naira smiles. She assures him that nothing will happen as she is with him. She handles him like a baby and asks him to go to sleep. Kartik wonders why he got such horrifying nightmare on the most happiest day of their life. He recollects the days when Naira was in hospital. He fears of losing Naira. But he makes himself understand that he should not get scared. He feels that Naira correctly said that the dreams are not seen but they are weaved.
