Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actors Sachin Tyagi, Swati Chitnis, Samir Onkar and a few technicians have tested positive for coronavirus. They are currently observing home quarantine. Sachin, Samir and Swati are asymptomatic and they are receiving medical attention at their homes. The makers of the show have sanitised and fumigated the sets after they tested positive. The shoot of the show had stopped and all the other actors were also tested for coronavirus. Mohsin Khan aka Kartik and Shivangi Joshi aka Naira has been shooting with Sachin Tyagi recently as the current track focused on Manish Goenka. Hence Mohsin Khan and Shivangi Joshi were also tested for coronavirus and fortunately, both have tested negative for coronavirus. Now, as per reports in Pinkvilla, after following all the SoPs, Mohsin Khan and Shivangi Joshi have begin shooting for the show along with the other cast members.
A source close to the portal said, "As soon it was known that a few members were tested positive, the entire set was sanitised yet again and necessary tests were conducted. After giving three rest days to the other cast, Shivangi and Mohsin were called today where they will shoot their parts. The show will shift focus on Kaira moments and Keerti for the coming weeks as Sachin Tyagi will be unavailable to shoot for a few days." The story currently focuses on Sachin Tyagi's role. However, the makers have now planned to shift the focus to Keerti. Now the story will go around Keerti who is hiding something from Naksh and family about her son, Krish and her ex-husband, Aditya. Aditya also has something to do with Kartik and Naira's daughter, Kaira. Earlier, Rajan Shahi had given a statement after Sachin Tyagi, Swati Chitnis, Samir Onkar and a few technicians tested positive for coronavirus.
He said, "Actors Swati Chitnis, Sachin Tyagi, Samir Onkar, who are an integral part of ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai', have tested positive for COVID-19, but the three of them are asymptomatic. Due to safety reasons, they are in home quarantine. BMC had advised them for the same as they were showing no symptoms. Immediately, the entire on-crew team was isolated and tested. Four crew members have now tested positive. The BMC has been informed and the entire set has been sanitised and fumigated. Currently, all of them are receiving medical attention in home quarantine. We are constantly in touch with them as their health is our priority. We stand by our commitment to safety and will continue to ensure that all safety and precautionary measures are adhered to."
