Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has a massive fan following and it recently went through a huge change in the story. Kartik and Naira's love story came to an end. Shivangi Joshi aka Naira passed away leaving Kartik shattered. Many thought Shivangi Joshi would be leaving the show as Naira's character is ending. However, Shivangi and the makers had cleared that she will be back with a new character in the show. We are finally seeing Shivangi Joshi as Sirat Shikhawat in the show. Kartik and Sirat's love story will now begin and fans are already impressed with their new chemistry. Sirat is a boxer and Shivangi Joshi has been learning boxing for her new role. We have seen Shivangi Joshi is a completely new avatar as Sirat. Be it learning a new sport or speaking in a different tone, Shivangi Joshi has totally owned her new character.
In an interview with ETimes, Shivangi Joshi called boxing the most challenging thing for her and an overwhelming experience. She said, "Boxing requires a lot of physical and mental balance. I train every morning for one hour with a trainer. I now realise that boxing has a lot to do with mind presence and on-spot improvisation. One wrong move and you can get yourself hurt. It has been challenging for me, but a great experience so far." Shivangi Joshi also spoke about her wish to do films but shares that her focus is on Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. She said, "Yes, I would like to do a film and play some unexplored character, but it will take time because right now, I am 100% dedicated to YRKKH."
Talking about the show, Sirat has reached Udaipur to apologise to Kartik and Kairav as she is aware of Naira being her look-alike. However, her visit to Udaipur creates issues, as Kairav does not leave her and Kartik, wants him to understand that Naira is no more and that Sirat is not his mother.
