Asees Kaur has scored another hit single with the female version of Pachtaoge, featuring Nora Fatehi, after already having built quite an enviable repertoire in both films and single with hit songs like Ve Maahi from Kesari, Bolna from Kapoor & Sons, Chogada and Akh Lad Jaave from Loveyatri, Jaan Ban Gaye from Khuda Haafiz and the title track from Malang (female version, again). In a recent interview with BollywoodLife, Asses got talking to us about how she still enjoys those butterflies before a song releases, the difference between the release of a movie song and single, the advantages and pressure of having Nora Fatehi in your song, being lucky to get chartbusters and original ones at that in today's Hindi-music scene, being mostly away from remixes and her upcoming international collaboration. Opening up on getting to sing different songs early in her career and staying away from remixes, Asees Kaur said, "I really find myself very fortunate that my voice got so many diverse songs because I started with Bolna, a very romantic track, then I got Tere Bin from (Simba), which is also very romantic, but in-between I got Akh Lad Jaave. So, that track changed the complete scenario, and I started to sing dance numbers after that, like Makhna (from Drive) and Malang came. So, I think, all these songs make a lovely bouquet, which has every kind of flower, and I've got to sing every kind of song and I'm really happy that people have appreciated. I'm really grateful for the feeling when people DM me on Instagram, telling me how much they've liked a song." On not having sung many remixes, she added, "I think, I've mostly got original song offers and I'm really happy that this has happened. A new song can always be sung in your way, there's no comparison or pressure, but I really look forward to all kinds of songs and the only criteria (criterion) is that they should touch my heart."
