In spite having begun with a bang in the mid to late 90s (Barsaat, Gupt, Soldier) and then seeing a successful, serious phase in the early 2000s (Badal, Bichhoo, Ajnabee, Humraaz), Bobby Deol is arguably in the best phase of his career now, largely because of his show, Aashram. Despite several critical and commercial hits in the early stages in Bollywood, and a bit after that, too, Bobby's career seemed to have floated adrift for quite some time until the last 2-3 years, when he's returned with greater vigour than ever with a Rs. 200 crore superhit in the theatres courtesy Housefull 4, after which came the well-received Netflix movie, Class of '83, and then, probably, his career-defining act and definitely his most widely watched work of late, the superhit web series, Aashram, which culminated in his first Best Actor victory after more than 25 years in the industry, with him receiving the Dadasaheb Phalke Award. So, naturally, everybody is only two excited to know when the second season of Aashram is finally arriving.
