Mrs. Serial Killer, starring Jacqueline Fernandez, Manoj Bajpayee and Mohit Raina, recently released on Netflix amidst great excitement and anticipation. Prior to its release, BollywoodLife sat down for an exclusive Zoom call with the lead cast of the Shirish Kunder-directed film, to pick their brains on everything from what drew them to the project to the amazing scope that OTT platforms provide actors to how certain images that the three had about each other was shattered the moment they actually got to know the person behind the image.

Watch their entire interview below:

Speaking about the impression that she had about Manoj Bajpayee before working with him, Jacqueline Fernandez said, ""I think with Manoj (Bajpayee), you pretty much have only seen him primarily in very intense work and intense roles. Unfortunately as an audience, you sometimes tend to believe that that's who the person actually is and you forget to understand that there's an actual human being behind these characters that he plays. So, having never met Manoh before, the first time I met him was in Nainital on the set of our shoot (for Mrs. Serial Killer)...I think it was the second or third day of shoot at that time. I was in my room and suddenly I heard chatter that 'Manoj sir is here, Manoj sir is here...' So, I was also like, oh, shit...I have to go meet him.

Elaborating on how her myth about her senior costar was busted, Jaqueline added, "I was so scared to actually meet him because I had this image of Manoj that he's going to be this guy, who sits in the corner quietly and just observes everything and probably go through his lines and ask for a rehearsal out of nowhere. I already had all these stories in my head about how he's going to be like, that I'm going to be intimidated, that it's going to be a nightmare...And then I reach for lunch...the team set up lunch on set, and everyone's lie laughing at the table. There was these two younger actors with us and Shirish was there (Mohit hadn't joined us then) and I see Manoj telling this story about some incident that had happened and I reach the table and meet him and he was completely different from what I had imagined...like this chilled out person, cool, always telling jokes till the Director calls action and it was great because I was super-intimidated...I couldn't sleep till then, but it turned out to be this really amazing experience."

Mrs. Serial Killer revolves around Sona Mukerjee (Jacqueline Fernandez), who suspects foul-play by the cop, Inspector Imran Shahid, (Mohit Raina), overseeing the case of her her husband, Dr. Mrityunjoy Mukerjee (Manoj Bajpayee), after he's accused of and taken to trial for brutally murdering unmarried pregnant girls and keeps their foetuses as trophies.
