Bigg Boss Kannada Season 12 has landed in controversy after social activist Sandhya Pavithra N filed a complaint with the Karnataka State Women’s Commission. The complaint is against the show’s host Kiccha Sudeep and contestants Ashwini Gowda and Rashika. She claims the show promoted disrespectful behaviour, caste-based comments, and even physical violence.
Allegations Against Kiccha Sudeep
Sandhya Pavithra says that during one episode, Sudeep spoke to contestant Rakshita in a way she felt was “insulting and aggressive.” According to her, his tone encouraged disrespect towards women on national TV. She believes that if a well-known public figure behaves this way, it can greatly influence viewers.
What are Accusations Against the Contestants
The activist also made two pretty serious allegations against contestants:
Against Rashika:
She claims that Rashika physically assaulted fellow contestant Malavalli Nataraj (Gilli) during an argument. Physical violence is against Bigg Boss rules.
Against Ashwini Gowda:
Sandhya alleges that Ashwini made insulting caste-based, mocking remarks about Rakshita. She says Ashwini used terms like “S Category” to indirectly refer to SC/ST communities. The activist argues that such comments promote caste discrimination and should not be allowed on such a popular show.
What Happens Next
The Karnataka State Women’s Commission is expected to review the complaint and ask the show’s makers or the TV channel for an explanation. Sandhya Pavithra has requested strict action to ensure such behaviour doesn’t continue.
The show’s team and the channel haven’t released an official statement yet. As the case develops, the controversy is likely to spark more debate about ethics and accountability in reality TV.
