Actors Vivek Oberoi, Riteish Deshmukh and Aftab Shivdasani are busy promoting their upcoming film, Mastiii 4. During a recent interaction with Mashable India, Vivek opened up about a life-threatening incident from the sets of his 2002 film Road. Vivek shared that he was travelling from Bikaner to Jaisalmer for the shoot. Despite repeatedly asking the driver 'Drive slowly, it’s night, visibility is low' the car sped on. He said he was sitting in the front seat and had just reclined it when a sudden, massive crash shook the car. A camel cart loaded with rods had appeared out of nowhere. The rods smashed straight through the windshield.
“If my seat had been straight, those rods would’ve gone right into my body,” Vivek revealed. Pinned beneath the rods, he couldn’t move but miraculously, he escaped without a scratch. The incident left such an impact that he never sits in the front seat anymore and avoids travelling at night altogether.
Another Scary Experience With a Speeding Driver
Vivek also spoke about another time when a driver ignored his warnings about speeding. “When he didn’t slow down, I asked him to stop and use the washroom,” he said. “As soon as he got out, I took the keys, got into the driver’s seat… and drove off without him.”
