The movie was directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya and produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films, Dhoom 3 was among the most expensive films of its time, with a budget reportedly between ₹100 crore and ₹175 crore. According to Sacnilk, the film earned ₹284.27 crore net in India and ₹186 crore overseas, taking its total worldwide gross to ₹556 crore, a record-breaking figure back then.
As the third film in the Dhoom series (after Dhoom in 2004 and Dhoom 2 in 2006), it amazed audiences with its spectacular stunts, gripping story, and stylish action. It was a perfect blend of drama, thrill, and music made it the highest-grossing film of 2013.

Abhishek Bachchan, who appeared in all three Dhoom films, became a fan favourite for his action, charm and screen presence. apart from the franchise, he’s known for gems like Guru, Bunty Aur Babli, and Players. Recently, he returned to the big screen with Housefull 5, co-starring Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh. Released on June 6, 2025, the film has already earned an impressive ₹162.15 crore at the box office.
