We don’t know about you all, but we can’t imagine our lives without comedy. It makes life so much bearable. And we’re glad, it was a great year as far as comedy specials and shows are concerned.
As you might be aware, BollywoodLife.com is having BollywoodLife.com Awards 2020 which is supporting the best of the best. In the comedy show category this year, we had many good ones and the ones we have nominated are Comicstaan, Pata Nahi Par Bolna Hain (Karunesh Talwar), Keep It Real (Kanan Gill), Sushi (Biswa Kalyan Rath) and Don’t Tell Amma (Sumukhi). Here’s a look at each one of them.

Comicstaan 2
Comicstaan Season 2 premiered on 12 July 2019 and was an eight-episode series. The season included Biswa Kalyan Rath, Kaneez Surka, Kanan Gill, Kenny Sebastian, Zakir Khan, Sumukhi Suresh and Neeti Palta as judges. Samay Raina and Akash Gupta were declared as joint winners in the show which was full of LOL moments.
Pata Nahi Par Bolna Hain - Karunesh Talwar
It was high time Karunesh Talwar got a special of his own. After all, he’s one the funniest comedians we have. In this special, he talks about mollycoddling of Indian men by their mothers, the culture of arranged marriage and a lot more. One of the main highlights of the show is the bit about Indian uncles.
Keep It Real – Kanan Gill
Kanan Gill speaks about a variety of subjects ranging from the difficulty in talking to your parents to The Constitution of India in this one-hour comedy special. He also talks about weird things Indians do.
Sushi – Biswa Kalyan Rath
In his inimitable style, Biswa delivers one joke after the other in this special. Apart from his jokes, it’s his delivery style that makes it all the more amazing. In this special he talks about Indian footpaths, corruption and a lot more.
Don’t Tell Amma – Sumukhi Suresh
In her first stand up special, Sumukhi Suresh talks about growing up poor in Nagpur but with rich people résumé, non-consensual sexual advances, Nutella, Khichdi, and many other things.
