Directed by veteran actor director producer Satish Kaushik and produced by The Satish Kaushik Entertainment, ‘Kaagaz’, the much awaited film, is now set for an MDMT (Mobile Digital Movie Theatre) release in the interiors of Uttar Pradesh apart from its digital release on Zee5 on 7th January & select theatres of UP. Starring Pankaj Tripathi, Monal Gajjar, Amar Upadhyay, Mita Vashishth and Satish Kaushik himself in pivotal roles, Kaagaz produced by Salma Khan , Nishant Kaushik and Vikas Malu was majorly shot in Sitapur, UP, which is where the film shall be premiered as well on 8th January for the people who helped to make this film.
PictureTime Digiplex, a mobile digital movie theatre (MDMT) company, that also took Salman Khan’s Dabangg 3, Ajay Devgan’s Tanhaji to the interiors of Maharashtra and witnessed a tremendous response is yet again living up to its aim of taking newly released films to the interiors of the country where a great cinema watching experience is still a dream to many, Picturetime is all set to screen Kaagaz in the interiors of Uttar Pradesh, This time with all necessary COVID-19 precautionary measures. While Kaagaz shall also be released in selected theatres of UP, an MDMT release in PictureTime’s portable theatre undoubtedly gives the film a larger reach.
Writer-Director Satish Kaushik, who is also advisor and partner at PictureTime said, “Nothing makes me happier to know that ‘Kaagaz ’ our labour of love would reach out to a wider audience, especially in the Interiors where watching Cinema is still a far fetched dream. What makes it more special, is that PictureTime will be screening the film in Sitapur which is where the film was shot. PictureTime is indeed a great solution for cinema entertainment as this mobile theatre reaches people or the viewer instead of viewer going to the theatre. It will run on low capacity, air conditioned ,with 5.1 digital sound and absolutely sanitised with all safety precautions of social distancing and contactless digital ticketing etc. We have so many green zones in the country where there are no theatres and Picture Time will be ready in just 2.5 hours anywhere in open space to show movies to the viewers. I am so glad that Kaagaz will reach so many people through this MDMT release.”
A noble initiative indeed for a well-received movie that is about the people the makers are trying to reach.
