Sohum Shah has been a revelation ever since his debut, taking on some of the most unexpected and never-before-seen roles and has aced them one by one. Be it his complex role in Ship of Theasus or the role of a greedy man in Tumbbad, Sohum Shah has always taken on challenging and new roles and aced them with a certain air of conffidence. He is now preparing to take on yet another powerful role in his upcoming series, Maharani, where the actor is set to essay the character of famed politician Lalu Prasad Yadav.
A source shared, “Getting the psychology right of one of the biggest politician of India was the most challenging thing for him. Lalu Ji is one of the most powerful politician in Indian history and him even waving his hand was more than enough to denote the power he commanded and so to get that persona right was very difficult yet a good experience. He hopes he can replicate the energy of the man that is Lalu Prasad Yadav as it is as challenging as a role can get.”
Sohum Shah has worked very hard to prepare for the role. He has gained almost 12 kgs and grown a moustache to get into the look for the politician's character. If this is not enough to show his commitment, he has also been preparingto play the role of a cop in Reema Kagti's next, Fallen. The web series Maharani will be the first time when the Tumbbad fame actor will play the role of a politician. Besides this, Sohum Shah has another web series, Fallen, alongside Sonakshi Sinha, in store for his fans. The audience will surely be eager to see him play unique avatars.
