Hriday Gattani began his career as a singer in Bollywood with Armaan Jain starrer Lekar Hum Deewana Dil before moving on to sing for a few Tamil ventures and singles. Recently though, he made a comeback of sorts to Hindi-film music with two hit songs, Maskhari and Main Tumhara, form Dil Bechara. Needless to say, the success has been a bittersweet experience as with the acclaim, he has had to deal with the loss of the star who breathed life into his voice — Sushant Singh Rajput. Opening up on his memories of Sushant in an exclusive interview with BollywoodLife, Hriday Gattani said, "I was choked, you feel weird, it was bittersweet," adding, "It felt very unreal and I couldn't imagine not seeing him perform again. I would want to hug him and thank him," on his reaction when he watched the film. Hriday also spoke about how A.R. Rahman (the film's composer) gave him a lot of freedom to come up with his own ideas and how he enjoyed singing alongside the legendary Sunidhi Chauhan.
