Earlier this month, Wild Dog starring Nagarjuna Akkineni released theatrically. It had a short but good run and fans loved the action-packed avatar of Nagarjuna in the movie. If you missed out on the theatrical release of Wild Dog, worry not as the makers have dropped it on the largest streaming giant now. Yes, you read that right. The Wild Dog movie is now streaming on Netflix for y'all to watch. Interestingly, Wild Dog was originally intended to release on Netflix, but the makers decided to withdraw the digital release and opt for a theatrical one instead. The film would have done exceptionally well had the second wave of coronavirus not hit the country. A lot of Nagarjuna Akkineni fans were disappointed as within a couple of days the COVID-19 situation worsened. Since people cannot step out of their homes to enjoy the movie, the makers decided to release it on the OTT platform so everyone can enjoy Yuva Samrat's critically acclaimed film in the comforts of their homes. And not only that, the Wild Dog movie is streaming in four languages — Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
The official handle of Netflix India shared the happy news with Nagarjuna fans a couple of days ago. Their tweet read, "The action is just over the mountain and it's coming in at high speeds! #WildDogOnNetflix." Along with the announcement, they also shared the poster of the Wild Dog movie. When asked about the prep for the role, Nagarjuna had said, "I did not prepare much other than the physical aspect of the film. My director Solomon researched a lot about the bomb blasts, how NIA came into existence, and how they nabbed the criminals. I just followed his instructions and loved working on my character which has no inhibitions," reports TeluguCinema.com
Meanwhile, apart from Nagarjuna Akkineni, the Wild Dog movie cast includes Dia Mirza, Saiyami Kher, Ali Reza, Atul Kulkarni, to name a few. Wild Dog movie is directed by debutant Ashishor Solomon and is reportedly based on true events.
