Ever since Solos was announced by Amazon Prime, it has been amping up the curiosity around itsel primarly because of a stellar cast that includes Academy Award-winning actors Morgan Freeman, Anne Hathaway and Helen Mirren, along with Emmy Award-winning actor Uzo Aduba, plus Nicole Beharie, Anthony Mackie, Dan Stevens, and Constance Wu, and secondly because anthology shows always pique people's interests. Well, if you're among those who've been eagerly awaiting for some concrete new development about Solos, they you've landed at the right place, or should we say, page.
Amazon Prime Video announced today, 20th April, that their highly anticipated Amazon original anthology web series, Solos, created by David Weil, will premiere on May 21 exclusively on Prime Video. The seven-part anthology series explores the strange, beautiful, heart-breaking, hilarious, wondrous truths of what it means to be human. The series spans our present and future and illuminates that even during our most isolated moments, we are all connected through the human experience.
The face that these character-driven stories promise to emphasise how even during our most seemingly isolated moments, in the most disparate of circumstances, we are all connected through the human experience, makes the web series seems tailor-made for those who like their stories deep and meaningful, doesn't it? Amazon Studios’ Solos is executive produced by Weil and Laura Lancaster with Pixie Wespiser serving as a producer. Weil makes his directorial debut, helming three of the episodes. Sam Taylor-Johnson directs and executive produces two episodes. Additional directors include Zach Braff and Tiffany Johnson.
