Maska: Shirley Setia on her Netflix film releasing during the coronavirus lockdown, ‘Never thought that it would arrive in this condition’ [EXCLUSIVE]

Shirley Setia, who has made her acting debut with the Netflix film, Maska, recently opened up on being locked down at her home. The actress, who began her career as a musician, hopes that the film will keep everyone entertained during the quarantine.

Shirley Sethia is one melodious singer. Shirley began her journey by crooning cover videos of Bollywood songs. She has now made her acting debut with Maska, a Netflix original Hindi film. BollywoodLife got in touch with the singer-actress recently, wherein she opened up on her time under quarantine, her web film and her impending Bollywood debut. The country is on a 21-day lockdown, which could be further extended. Shirley though has been practicing self-isolation even before that. "Khaa rahi hu, so rahi hu, Saaf-Safai kar leti hu ( I eat, I sleep, I clean up)," she began with a chuckle while opening up on her quarantine situation. For those not in the know, Shirley is a New Zealand-born Indian singer and actress who is here with her mother while her father and are brother reside in her land of birth. She also revealed that her brother and father are under lockdown, too. Well, it's a great time for her Netflix film to come out, given the fact that people are partaking in a lot of “Netflix and chill”, at least those who are not working from home. When asked about her thoughts on the same, Shirley said, "I am actually quite excited. I am happy that the film is finally coming to life. Pata nahi tha actually ki aise condition mein aayegi (Never thought that it would arrive in this condition). I don't think anyone could have predicted or anything, you know. I am glad that it's finally coming out and it's a very feel-good film. So, hopefully, it will keep them (the audience) entertained during the quarantine period." She further proceeded to explain, "And it's difficult you know, pura time ghar pe hi rehna, time spend karna hai (staying at home the entire time, needing to spend our time), but we must find things you know to keep us busy."

Talking about Maska, the Netflix drama film also stars Prit Kamani, Manisha Koirala, Javed Jaffrey and Kabir Singh fame Nikita Dutta. Maska is streaming on Netflix since 27th March 2020. If you have watched it, let us know your reviews by tweeting @bollywood_life.
